Applying for your Provisional Licence

Before you can learn to drive you must apply for a provisional driving licence. You can apply for a licence up to 3 months before your 17th birthday.

When you have received your provisional driving licence you can have your first lesson.

 

 

The Theory Test & Hazard Perception Test Learn more

Next you need to take your theory test. You do not need to pass this before starting lessons. However, you cannot book a practical test until you have passed the theory test so it is a good idea to book this early.
