The Driving Test

The first part of the practical driving test is an eyesight test. You will need to be able to read a number plate at a distance of 20.5 metres.

The practical driving test itself lasts about 40 minutes. You can make up to 15 minor faults. The test will include at least two manoeuvres. The manoeuvres are: turn in the road, left reverse/right reverse, parallel park, bay parking, you may also be asked in addition to carry out an emergency stop.
